Building Nations 2021 Symposium to be held as a virtual event

Infrastructure New Zealand is working hard on November’s much anticipated Building Nations 2021 symposium, with more than 700 delegates expected to attend.

When planning events of this scale, it is important the event is not only enjoyable, offers an engaging and relevant programme to the wide range of delegates attending, but that it is also held safely.

In light of the Government’s announcement that Auckland will remain at Alert Level 4 for at least another two weeks with a review on Monday 13 September, the Infrastructure New Zealand Board has decided to host this year’s symposium as a virtual event.

In making this decision, the Board is keen to provide certainty to our members as we all plan for the remainder of 2021.

The Board is also keen to adapt as the Covid pandemic continues. We believe a symposium delivered virtually will be just as engaging and insightful.

There is no doubt it will be different to previous years but if Covid has taught us anything, it is our ability to adapt to changing conditions.

The outcome will of course be the same, which is to ensure that the importance of effective and efficient delivery of infrastructure to NZ will remain front and centre to all our stakeholders.

We continue to work with our sponsors and speakers to deliver an exciting and relevant programme.

We look forward to sharing that programme with you in the next few weeks, once the last few details are confirmed.
