New Zealand is targeting 100% renewable electricity generation by 2035. Increased electricity demand as we electrify our transport and industrial processes will require significant electricity generation and transmission investment not seen in New Zealand for decades.

Infrastructure New Zealand and event sponsor, BNZ, are pleased to announce a virtual event on 8 December where we will discuss New Zealand's sustainable electricity future, including changing demand and market structure, security of supply, and new technologies for New Zealand and future development such as large scale PV solar, hydrogen, on and offshore wind farms and storage.

The event will include a panel discussion with industry experts James Flannery, General Manager, Strategy at Contact Energy, Blair Walter, Renewable Energy Leader at Aurecon, Angela Ogier, Associate Director at EY, and Simon Currie, Principal at Energy Estate.

We look forward to you joining us.

Please feel free to reach out to Paige Hallam at paige.hallam@infrastructure.org.nz if you need any assistance. A link to the virtual platform will be sent out prior to the event.
