POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
The Transmission Gully motorway is New Zealand’s first roading project to be delivered through a public-private partnership project. The $1.25 billion project has been seven years in the making and is scheduled to open later next month. The Wellington Gateway Partnership, a private group of financiers and contractors, was awarded the contract to design, construct, finance, and then operate and maintain the new motorway for 25 years. We thank them for giving us access to the motorway ahead of its opening.
The 27-kilometre motorway comprises 25 bridges and large culverts – the longest being 230 metres, and the highest being 60 metres. It will also be New Zealand’s first motorway to use a radar system to detect incidents.
This event is invite-only.
