WIN Otago/Southland are delighted to invite you to our first post-lockdown virtual series 'Member Spotlight and Decompression Zone Workshops'.

In each of these sessions, we will highlight three members from the network who will share their career journey and experience in the infrastructure sector to date. We will then tip into a workshop facilitated by Decompression Zone founder, Mary Hambly. The workshop topics are as follows:

Monday 13 July 2020, 12:30pm - 1:30pm
Developing Emotional Resilience - Kindly Sponsored by Deloitte
During this innovative workshop, you will gain a deep understanding of the role of emotional resilience in every aspect of life. Against a backdrop of Neuroscience, we will explore emotional behaviour and how we can recondition our mind to reduce emotional reactiveness. By unlocking an awareness of our own brain processes, the workshop provides pivotal motivation to engage in a journey of mindfulness and wellbeing.

Monday 20 July 2020, 12:30pm - 1:30pm
Managing Stress Levels and Stress Responses - Kindly Sponsored by Anderson Lloyd
During this engaging workshop, you will learn techniques to actively identify stress levels and become aware of stress responses and how to recognise them in others. We will look at the Neuroscience of what causes stress and discuss scientifically proven ways to reduce and manage the impact of our stressful situations. By offering a clearer understanding of personal stress levels and responses, the workshop promotes a mindset shift towards improved management of mental and physical health.

Monday 27 July 2020, 12:30pm - 1:30pm
Compassionate Leadership Workshop - Kindly Sponsored by Stantec
This engaging workshop provides participants with deep insight into the value of compassion in leadership, and the pitfalls of the alternatives. This session explores the essence of our core values, and the belief systems which underpin them to understand how we connect with others at this level. By understanding authentic compassion, you will have the building blocks to step up your game and thus improve culture and diversity in the workplace, whatever your role.

Spaces are limited to 10 per workshop. Please register to secure your position.
