AECOM's Global Cities Lead, Stephen Engblom, will bring his on-the-ground experience of the most important trends taking place in cities across the globe, talking specifically about the recently developed New York Waterfront Plan.

This exemplar plan was motivated by recognition that New York, like many growing cities, needed a framework from which to transparently assess its future growth options and scenarios. As the plan's leading consultant, Stephen will address how it deals with many of the issues Auckland is grappling with including provision of diverse housing, funding essential infrastructure, the adaptive re-use of a working waterfront and climate change and resiliency to shocks and stresses. Following the presentation, you'll have a chance to ask questions.
