Emerging Talent Network: The Inner Circle with Kohe Ruwhiu

Date: 28th July 2021 | 9:30am
Location: EY Offices, Auckland

What is ‘The Inner Circle’?
Infrastructure NZ’s Emerging Talent Network is pleased to announce the next close-knit interactive session with an industry leader exclusively for our members. We call it ‘The Inner Circle’.

In these exclusive sessions, an industry leader leads a discussion with a small group of ET members on a hot topic in infrastructure. You will be participating, not just listening, so bring your questions and opinions along, find out about our expert, and what they are leading in their sector. This session will be limited to 10 people, so you’ll need to be quick to snap up your place at the table.

Our Next Industry Leader
With a change in Government, comes a change in focus. Several of the biggest sectors in New Zealand are currently undergoing large scale, transformative reforms, which will affect the way we deliver infrastructure in the years to come. Our next industry leader, Kohe Ruwhiu, Manager, EY Tahi and Strategy and Transactions, has been at the forefront of the Ara Poutama Aotearoa | Department of Corrections reform and the Health and Disability System reform. We have invited her to share her experiences and her approaches for tackling these systemic, historic changes.

Kohe believes in the inherent and unique power of communities to identify and solve their own challenges and catalyse transformative and intergenerational impact. Practically, this translates into a different way of thinking through and solving some of New Zealand’s ‘gnarly’ social challenges, and reoreinting our systems, processes, infrastructure, and policy to better serve and reflect our communities and their aspirations. Kohe will speak about her experiences, navigating multifaceted and complex social issues that intersect with different facets of the community through both large scale, transformative reform and community organisations. Throughout the discussion Kohe will also share her career journey and the insights she has picked up along the way.
