The National Infrastructure Unit was established in 2009 to deliver the government’s objectives relating to infrastructure. The Unit is based within Treasury, and its responsibilities include:
The Unit works in co-operation with other government agencies and takes a cross sector, high level view of New Zealand infrastructure.
The Unit develops its policy advice to infrastructure Ministers in close co-operation with the National Infrastructure Advisory Board.
